SPRINGTIME!!!

Wow, I can't even say how much Reese has grown up these last few months.  She seems like such a big girl to me already.  She is SO much fun and makes my life wonderful.  I couldn't be happier to spend my days being the momma to that little girl.

SHE IS WALKING!  She is definitely an early walker.  She started taking her first steps at around 8 months but didn't really start walking on her own and switch to no crawling until right before she turned 10 months.  She now cruises everywhere.  She honestly walks between the 3 rooms in our apartment about a million times each day, I think just because she can.  I love watching her grow and learn.

She eats like an animal.  That girl can seriously pound back the food.  I don't know how so much food can go into that little body of hers.  Often, when I am feeding her, with every bite she makes an mmmm sound.  Jared and I tease that it's just like What About Bob.  She cracks me up.

She absolutely loves going to the duck pond on BYU campus.  She could stare at and follow those ducks all day.  We'll be going there a lot over the next weeks before we move.

We go every week to circle time at the Provo Library.  Reese loves it.  She is an observer and loves watching all the other kids there.  She walks right over to other people and just stares at them.  She also loves Kevin, the big stuffed animal puppet, that the teacher brings.  She gets excited about the songs we sing.

Reese has never been a very cuddly baby.  It is a rare occasion when she snuggles with me and lets me rub her back.  Most of the time if someone is holding her she boxes them out.  Her arms are always up and she is turned away from you.

She has a pretty large protruding umbilical hernia.  It showed up just before she turned 6 months old.  It is just barely above her belly button which makes it hand over in a funny way.  I think most people are sort of shocked by it when they see it but I'm pretty used to it. You can see it sticking out through her onesie. Dr. Adams said most surgeons wont fix something like that until around 4 years of age.

Work is the same as always.  My usual schedule is I head to Spanish Fork Monday afternoon to do Alison's Naglazyme infusion and then I go to school with Gabriel Friday mornings.  It has been nice having a small income yet feeling like I can be at home with Reese.

I still go work at my parents house to earn rent.  My mom has put me to work these last few months.  We have painted walls and baseboards, ripped up carpet, moved furniture, cleaned, organized, and many other things.

Jared has been coaching soccer for Orem High.  He truly loves it.  I wondered at first if this was a good idea, because it would take up a lot of his time and he doesn't get paid very well for it.  As I have watched him coach and come home and talk about these boys, I am so glad he is doing it.  Soccer is such a big part of this life and he has always wanted to coach high school.  I'm glad he is finally doing it before we head off to med school.  They are 2-2 in season so far.  Not great, but I think they will improve as the season goes along.

Our lives truly are great.  We are planning on moving to Kansas City for medical school around the first week of July.  We have put a down payment on a town home and Heidi and Adam will be living in the same place!  We are super excited about that.  Jared has been put on the wait list at Utah.  If we happen to hear back from them in the upcoming weeks then our plan could change.  We couldn't be happier about Kansas City though!

I truly know and believe that Heavenly Father is aware of our little family.  He cares about Jared's schooling, He cares about where we go to medical school, He cares about the milestones Reese is making, He cares about every aspect of our lives.  For that, I am very grateful!
